The Strand dormitel is a quaint home away from home. Their solo room has the basic amenities you can expect. The staff are very courteous and respectful. Their breakfast of coffee and fresh bread is just right to start your day.
I will definitely book a stay with them in my next Davao travel.
Kudos to the team for a job well done.

The Strand is a nice and clean hotel. The reception is quick and friendly. The lady is very nice and very interested if you have something to tell. The rooms are spacious, clean, big enough, a bit noisy and a bit too sterile. A nice painting or mural on a white wall would be fine. The downside is that there is no elevator, but there is a strong boy walking around. Moreover, the breakfast is meager (coffee with a sandwich) and it would be better to stop with that, it only gives negative reactions in my opinion. Around the corner (2x left) is a cheap eatery at 100m. For 50p you are full. Water (cold and warm) can be tapped.
The location is 2km from the center. I can easily walk there, but not everyone.
However, there is a mall, 7/11, McDonald's Jollibee and many eateries nearby.... there is enough to eat everywhere. You can see photos of the hotel on ***********.
