Auf der Durchreise haben wir einen Zwischenstopp gemacht und fein gegessen. Salat war frisch mit einem feinen hausgemachten Dressing. Die Pizza kann man selber zusammenstellen / belegen lassen. Sehr leckere Pizza. Gemütliches Restaurant mit netten Gastgeber!

Locanda accogliente con interni in legno, ben riscaldata e in una posizione super ottima (sufficientemente vicina alla stazione, al supermercato, alla panetteria, alla cabinovia, al bus). Personale gentile. Il tempo a Kandersteg sembra essersi fermato e la vita scorre piacevolmente lenta come il ruscello che la attraversa. Camera molto spaziosa rispetto ai normali standard, calda e pulita, con balconcino. Bagno piuttosto piccolo ma funzionale con piccola vasca; acqua bella calda dai rubinetti. Se avete bisogno del phon chiedete alla reception. Cose che mancano: non c'è l'ascensore, alle camere si accede solo con le scale. Non c'è la TV e senza wifi (ma è il bello del posto, sconnessi dal mondo!). Manca il frigo in camera. Cosa da segnalare: colazione buona casalinga, non molto abbondante e più prodotti salati (non ci sono es. torte dolci. Si occupano anche di ristorazione (fanno le pizze e altri piatti); pizze non molto economiche per noi italiani come prezzi.

Après un accueil déplorable, limite grossier au restaurant des Alpes où j'avais réservé pour 13 personnes pour souper avec arrivée à 18h30-19h (heure respectée)........on est réparti direct et on est allé à la pizzeria Spycher où on a été très bien accueilli à 13 et sans réservation. Merci à eux!

We visited this restaurant on several occasions during our stay in Kandersteg. After our first visit we were treated as friends upon our return. The restaurant and staff were fantastic. We don’t speak German and they didn’t speak English, however we muddled through. The pizzas and pastas were fantastic, both freshly prepared and the beer and wine was good. The placemats with a map of the area was a lovely touch.
