Travelodge Stoke Talke

Rooms need a bit of tlc but were fine for what we needed. Comfy beds. Easy check in and a very handy Greggs!

We had a pleasant stay. The location was perfect as we were attending my daughter’s graduation. The rooms were clean.

The front of house employee was very friendly and helpful. The room was a little dated and had an unpleasant smell on arrival. It was a urine smell that just lingered in the room. I tried leaving the bathroom door shut but the smell was still there. Everything seemed clean in terms of the bedding etc and that smelled fine. I just couldn’t put my finger on it. It’s not the first time I have had a room from travelodge where it’s had an unpleasant smell.

Amazing staff especially Andrea she is always there to help plus she's a credit too the company Andrea is the only reason my company use talke travelodge always smiling and we're always made to feel welcome thank you and well done Andrea

Booked out the entire Travelodge for a corporate event - and were charged over 3x the going rate for the honor of doing so. Got a call 2 hours before our guests were due to check in, who were traveling in from all over the UK, to say that they'd (deliberately) double booked us and they had cancelled five of our rooms. Completely unacceptable, as is the £46 they've offered us as a 'gesture of goodwill'. Yes, they offered to move our guests elsewhere, but there's nothing else in the area and we'd still then have had to organise transport for another hotel 40 minutes away - hence having to use them in the first place. Disgusting - won't be using them again for any reason - business or personal. At least if you mess up, own it and put it right. They clearly don't care about their customers.

We had a lovely few days at this travelodge and found it nice and clean. My only grumble was the single beds hadnt been made up but the man on reception (who is not usually at this hotel) was lovely and so helpful, he offered to make the beds but we did it, he then bless him offered us an upgrade but we had already unpacked. We would return to this hotel should we be up that way again
