Our holiday experience was spoilt by the issue of insufficient sun beds. Hotel guests were getting up at the crack of dawn to reserve them with towels. Some were reserved and then left unused. There are notes on the parasols asking people not to do this but as there aren’t enough sun-beds for everyone it is a vicious circle! The other thing I would add is the layout of the building is very confused. It’s not ideal having to walk through the dinner service to go out in the evening, but it is the quickest route. Apart from that our room was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The local restaurants are good but the menus are all a bit similar.

A lovely clean well decorated hotel right on the coast for easy access to the many beaches, the closest are busy with family’s but we managed to find a couple of quieter ones if you walk a little. The hotel itself had a few tired areas including the pool areas and spa but nothing that affected us enough to dislike, the food was above average with plenty of options daily. A drink option at dinner even if it was just water would have been great as their only option was table service to buy drinks. We would have really appreciated an adults only area to sit in to eat without the little wildling children running about but admittedly it wasn’t too bad because our faces were often too busy being filled with pasta and fish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Reception, bar to the cleaners too! I had two treatments at the spa, a foot reflexology that wasn’t worth its money, very short and a bit rubbish but I did have a Ayurveda harmony which was a bloody delight, I just wanted to be carried back to my room for a fat nap after. The hotel kindly booked the restaurant Konoba katara for one night which is on the mountainside overlooking the coast, they have a free shuttle from the town or hotel. The food is DEVINE, staff really lovely and the views were gorgeous at sunset. Highly recommend!! All in all we had a lovely time in Brela and will very much miss the crystal clear waters and bright blue skies! ☀️🇭🇷

Very nice hotel in a good location for the small resort of Brela. The pool area is nice enough but a lot of early morning sun bed grabbing does go on and sadly the hotel don't do very much about this. The pool doesn't get very warm either because its gets lots of shade on/off throughout the day. Room was a decent enough size with adequate storage space for a week and a free safe and a small fridge. Bathroom was a decent size with an easy walk-in shower. Decor throughout the whole room was light and modern. We were lucky enough to have a very private balcony with lots of sunshine. Cleaning of the room was a bit hit and miss; some days it was done really well (and early !) and other days not very well. I think it depended who was on duty. Check it was fine and we go into or room before the official check-in time of 3pm. Didn't need Reception thereafter so cannot comment any further on them. We only stayed on a B&B basis and whilst breakfast was totally fine with lots of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals and cold cuts I have to agree with other reviewers that all the "hot" breakfast items were cold. You could get freshly prepared omelettes but that was all from the cooking station. The resort itself is very small with a shingle beach and it gets busy, but you could buy a sun lounger for the day. Buy yourself a pair of rubber socks too for the beach !. There are only seven restaurants in the whole of the resort which are all fairly good but only one takes credit card (Nautica) which was unfortunate. Most of the small cafe bars are cash only as well. The couple of mini marts take credit cards. Lots of ATMs dotted around the resort but they are a rip-off so take cash with you. You can walk to next resort along (Baska Voda) which takes about 25-30 mins and it straight along the front which has a bigger selection of eateries and shops but to be honest it is a decent walk in the heat so we only did it by day. A few boats trips available from the resort most of which are full days. Again cash only. I believe you can get a local bus into Split but it does mean a steep climb up to the main road which is not easy in the heat. You can organise a trip through the hotel on Monday and Wednesday for 33 euros each but I don't know much more than that. All-in-all a very plesant stay but 1 week was enough in this small but pretty resort.

The location of the hotel is amazing; on the beach, peaceful, safe, beautiful views, and conveniently near nice shops and restaurants. The hotel itself feels like it's given up. - The wine bar had been closed for three years apparently, so no pool bar or service. - No towel hooks or rails in our room (001). - Blocked shower drain so it overflowed if you weren't quick. - Our bed was 2 singles pushed together and 2 single sheets/duvets. - The snack bar was very limited (burgers and salads. Some days, cakes). - The smart function of the TV did not work. - Many of the water features were not turned on or in working order and some used for storage. - No milk in the rooms for tea and coffee. There were a couple of fruit tea bags and small cheap sachets of instant coffee. We were told to get milk from the bar. - Gym and spa equipment out of order. The best bits were the location, the cocktails, the massages in the spa, mostly friendly staff, and we were able to check in early and check out an hour late. I would definitely visit Brela again but not at this hotel.

Staff are good, rooms adequate some nice touches like dressing gown and slippers. Avoid room 203 as if it rains (I think is the cause) then it gets dropped on for days after. I did tell reception and they put a towel down. It's massive catering with all the problems that entails. However, food and choice are plentiful. Pool area is good plenty of sunbeds. It's does get hot. We had no problem getting a sunbed. The lounge area lets it down has all the atmosphere of a doctor's surgery. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. Shame really as the live acts are good. Definitely needs a revamp I would get rid of the room in the middle, which is a waste of space, possibly put the bar there. Improve the furniture, round tables and more comfortable seating. Croatia is not a cheap part of the World so don't expect Benidorm prices! Go to the front turn right or left smallish villages, various restaurants, all OK no standout, places take cash only.
