Traveling by Train in Germany

Traveling to Europe, taking the train is a great choice. Europe's rail network connects the continent, and with high-speed trains, you can travel from one country to another in just two to three hours. Moreover, train stations are usually located in city centers. This time, I took the train from the Czech Republic to Berlin. Berlin is a historic city with plenty to see, and its zoo is also a lot of fun.

A walk around Berlin

Germany’s capital is one that seems to go from strength to strength as a tourist destination and visiting there it’s not hard to see why. Waking across the easily accessible city or using its fantastic public transport systems there’s plenty to keep you occupied for days on end, some of the highlights include The Reichstag building- the German parliament includes a fantastic modern dome where you can visit for free and gain great views of the city. Tickets however must be booked in advance and they do sell out The Berliner Dom- Berlin’s imposing cathedral dominates its skyline and the park surrounding it is a fantastic spot for a summer picnic The Brandenburg gate- The city’s most iconic site is a great spot to take some photos and people watch Tiergarten- Berlin’s largest park is a great way to get away from the concrete jungle and to enjoy its miles of trails #voyagevibes

🎶 Stay at Estrel Berlin

#hotelreview Estrel Berlin is an interesting stay in Berlin. It's Germany's largest hotel and entertainment complex with multiple restaurants, bars and a large conference center. The hotel's rooms are pretty standard, but they have a large fitness centre and lots of shows over the weekends. It's also known for hosting the annual Eurovision Song Contest - a hub if you're seeking convenience and entertainment options in the Berlin city.

Berlin, Germany

From its fashion to its architecture to its political history, Berlin has always been edgy. The Berlin Wall is a sobering reminder of the hyper-charged postwar atmosphere, and yet the graffiti art that now covers its remnants has become symbolic of social progress. Check out the Weltzeituhr (world time) Clock, topped by a model of the solar system, then turn back time by dining at the historic Zur Letzten Instanz, a 16th century restaurant that was frequented by Napoleon and Beethoven. The Potsdam Conference took place here and is one of the most important historical events of the 20th century. It is regarded worldwide as a symbol for the end of the Second World War and the outbreak of the Cold War, which led to the division of Europe through the “Iron Curtain” and the construction of the “Wall”. Lovely setting amid parkland and lakes. #eventcelebration #templeblessed #uniquehotel #themepark#zoo#nationalpark#lakes

Stunning City

Stunning City

Incredibly beautiful city with stunning architecture all around. It might seem like an industrial city at first but the it has a quaint and alluring culture that slowly draws you in. It has an incredibly rich and complicated history that is unique and you will not be able to find elsewhere in Europe or even the world for that matter. The art is also incredible in Berlin and a great place for any art-lovers.

Berlin, a city filled with discoveries.

Berlin, a city filled with discoveries.

Berlin is a great city full of contrasts and sights to visit. You'll never get bored there. The capital city of Germany is filled with monuments that are both modern as well as marking points of its complicated past. Of course, Berlin is entrenched in it's Cold War history and this is still markedly visible in the difference between East and West Berlin. The Eastern side of the city still has reminders of its Soviet past with many buildings still dating from this era. This is extremely fascinating as you simply don't feel in Germany. Popular attractions dating from this era also include Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin wall and Alexanderplatz. On the western side, you'll find grand monuments such as Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag building which is a twist of both old and new. Berlin is also a very green city as well, and you'll find lovely green spaces in the Tiergarten, and a pleasant open area in the former Tempelhof airport. Berlin is a city filled with wonderful and exciting attractions that will not leave you bored. Spend a few days discovering this city which holds its history proudly!

My favourite city - Berlin!!

My favourite city - Berlin!!

Berlin is one of my favourite cities in the world!! It has so much to offer on both culturally and in terms of authentic living. The obvious tourist sights are definitely worth visiting, for example; the TV tower and Berlin cathedral. But it is also worth taking some time to walk through the streets and visiting popular student haunts, such as; Holzmarkt 25 and Klunkerkranich for a great view over the whole city!! Dont forget to take a photo in a photoautomat, the many photo booths situated all around the city, which is a great souvenir of your trip!! #berlin #city #nightlife #Culture #photos

A piece of Olympic history

A piece of Olympic history

The Berlin Olympic stadium was originally built for the now infamous 1936 games and despite what we now know the city chose to preserve many of the stadiums original features when redeveloping the stadium in preparation for the 2006 World Cup. Today lies a modern, world class stadium that has hosted a series of major sporting events and concerts. Taking a tour of the stadium for around €12 gives you a sense of the history of the stadium from seeing the original outdoor swimming pool and diving board to the results board with famous name of Jesse Owens etched into the stone.
