Specialty coffee and asian fusion

I’m surprised more people don’t know about this place . It’s on Gilbert Street, down the road from Prohibition Gin , a few streets away from the Central Markets . Also, just FYI, it is the only halal cafe in Adelaide that offers a great variety of English-style breakfast meal options. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. When my friend and I went , it wasn’t so busy , and some staff were busy talking to what I assume were regulars . The coffee was the maple blend from ONA, which I’d never heard of before , but they seem to be passionate about sourcing sustainable beans . The blend was Maple , which is touted as caramel , biscuits , nuts and spices . The milk was silk smooth , with a slight fruity aroma but the aftertaste was slightly sweet maple . Really enjoyed this brew #australiatrip #hiddengems #deliciousfood

A super busy spot

Always busy but the most phenomenal service considering!! We have a large group attending every Saturday morning. The same table is always reserved and available. Coffee/drinks orders consistently arrive in 2-3 minutes after order. Food cooked fresh and arrives promptly, tastes fantastic, big portion sizes and priced appropriately. There's a handful of vegetarian breakfast options that look amazing. Having fresh juice is a nice touch, I went with apple + orange. On the coffee front, I went with a long macchiato. It was nice but it definitely wasn't a long macchiato, it more closely resembled a 'magic' made with a double espresso shot instead of a double ristretto. It was still good but not what I wanted/ordered. Waiting staff are very polite, friendly, attentive and patient considering how busy they are. Cannot recommend highly enough. One of Adelaide's gems. #australiatrip #localgems #deliciousfood

Fantastic

This was a good find. The cafe is located on the quiet secluded alleyway on the east end. I visited it the first time after I was done with the botanical gardens and looking for a quick bite. And then I ended up eating here two days in a row. Both rhe fishes that i tried were lovely. Its well prepared and good presentation too. m Friendly and fast food service that tasted delicious is a win win. Nice indoor, bench and outside seating options. I highly recommend the avocado on toast. I had their turkish eggs too forma change, found it slightly heavy and the chilli oil in it wasn't all that fun. #australiatrip #goodfoods #brunch #cherryblossom2024

Light Square

Light Square

#australiatrip Light Square (Wayu) is in Adelaide between Currie St and Waymouth St with Morphett St running along either side. This park honours Colonel William Light who surveyed Adelaide. A memorial of a thedolite is a tribute to him. In the SW corner is a statue of a lady Mary Spence who dedicated her life to children. The park is a good place for a picnic or something, very green and healthy for the eyes. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to get a bit of outside time in the city.

#australiatrip Place is easy to find as it is clearly signed at the front. Outdoor seating is available but very limited. They also have seats upstairs which can take solo/ couple and group seatings. We ordered shakshuka and eggs Benedict for brunch-both were lovely! Their coffee was also very good. We had a second round of coffee on the house because our food took a bit of time to be ready. It wasn't very long actually but hey, if this is how they compensate for unexpected wait times then this is a great gesture of apology for inconvenience. They are a small cafe but their service is top notch!
