#The Business Suite We selected a Business Suite, at the "Zhongyin Hotel", also know as the "Jasper Hotel" in Baoding. The front of house added me to her Wechat, when we checked in. We were out for most of the day, as we had meetings to attend. We returned later that evening, and the front of house night staff, were courteous enough, to show us to our suite. "The room was preheated, and nice & warm, upon our arrival". This suite, was extremly spacious and elegant, and we both sincerely enjoyed it. Living Room: A lovely living room, with a comfortable sofa and ample space. Bedroom: The bed was comfortable, with high quality bedding. Bathroom: As for the bathroom, well it's very spacious with a walk in shower and a large bathtub. We enjoyed panoramic views of the city, from the suite. Buffet style breakfast was served, at the Horizon Restaurant on the 3rd floor. "The selection was good, with both Chinese and Western Style dishes to enjoy". Overall the hotel has a classic and elegant feel to it, with quality finishes, which remain timeless. The entire team of staff, ensured that we enjoyed our stay. Special thanks to the front office's, YangQian for her superb service. As well as the front office manager (Cindy), for her superb service, and for meeting our requests. We can recommend this hotel for business or leisure, foreign or domestic guests, will enjoy a high quality stay here. Upon our next visit to Baoding, we will surely return to the Zhongyin Hotel.

Baoding Botanical Garden is worth a trip if you need a break from the bustling city, and a breath of fresh air. It is a huge green space, a haven amidst the skyscrapers, with statues, lakes and even a small fair park to enjoy. Lots of places to sit and eat a picnic, and escape that summer sunshine in the shade of the forests. Visit in spring for the first blooms, in summer to escape the heat, and autumn for the changing leaves. A beautiful place! #triplocal

📌Yishui Lake 📌 From the ticket gate to the location we have to board the ship for approximately 10 minutes. Entrance and shipping fees are 120 RMB. At the location we are presented with a natural view of the lake surrounded by hills. The path used to climb hills is strong and comfortable, especially the climbing process that is not too difficult, suitable for young children and old people. Be careful with your items, especially sunglasses and hats. Because of the wind or accidentally falling, do not expect to be taken back. You are not allowed to climb the road fence or go down the hillside. #givethanks

Baoding, one of the key cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, served as the seat of the Zhili Governor-General in history and is often called the "Southern Gateway to the Capital." This time, I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Baoding and will share my experience along with nearby attractions. 📍Location: The hotel is somewhat remote. It takes about 30 minutes by taxi from Baoding Railway Station. No public transportation is available nearby, so taxis are the only option for getting around. 🏨Hotel Environment: • Opened in 2020, the hotel is very new. The lobby and lounge areas are relatively spacious for the Fairfield brand (see attached photos). • Across the street is a Red Star Macalline home furnishing store, but there isn’t much other commercial activity within walking distance. 🛏Room Amenities: The room was clean and tidy with modern facilities, featuring the standard Fairfield layout. The mattress was just right—neither too soft nor too hard—meeting all comfort needs. The hotel also has a laundry room and gym, though Fairfield properties typically don’t include swimming pools. 🍽️Breakfast: • Fairfield hotels generally only offer breakfast, and this one was decent with options like wontons and noodles—enough to fill you up. • According to reviews, Marriott Bonvoy members no longer get complimentary breakfast here, so it’s best to book a rate that includes breakfast. 🖼Nearby Attractions: The hotel is a bit far from attractions, but taxis are easy to hail with quick response times. Xidajie is a bustling commercial street in Baoding. I visited both during the day and at night—the latter was more atmospheric with the lights on (see photos). The street has many restaurants and snacks, including the famous donkey burger[Grin]. The Zhili Governor's Office is a must-visit, best known for the saying: "One governor's office encapsulates half of Qing Dynasty history." The site isn’t large, so a guided tour is recommended to fully appreciate it—otherwise, you might finish quickly without understanding much. Baoding Catholic Church is right next to the governor’s office. The exterior is well-preserved, and it’s worth a visit if you have time. [GlassesUU]Summary: Overall, my stay at Fairfield by Marriott Baoding was pleasant. Aside from the remote location, everything else was great. With ride-hailing apps readily available, getting around wasn’t an issue. As the only Marriott property in Baoding, there aren’t other options for Marriott loyalists. Baoding is close to major cities like Beijing and Tianjin, making it perfect for a spontaneous weekend getaway.
