Taking advantage of Singapore's National Day, I went on a small back garden trip. This was my first time to a small island in Indonesia called "Batam Island". It is commonly known as the back garden of Singaporeans. Due to the low prices here, it has become a popular place for light travel🚩. This three-day and two-night stay was at this "Woda villa & spa", which was recommended by my boyfriend's colleague. It is the second recommended accommodation in Batam Island by Trip.com The room type we stayed in this time is (Studio Double Room) The price for two nights is about 500 SGD, about 12,000 TWD. It may be more expensive to order from Singapore, but it is much cheaper to order from Taiwan on Trip.com, about less than $4,000+ per night The room was booked three months ago, and there was still only one room left after three months, which shows how popular this place is🔥 There are also many room types to choose from. The weather was not good when we arrived at the hotel on the first day. It was raining outside and we couldn't swim in the pool. August is also the rainy season. The afternoon thunderstorm lasted for a long time. But it still felt very beautiful, especially at night when the lights were on. But because of the rain, we could only take a bath in the bathtub in the room 🛀 to relieve the mood of wanting to go into the water ('ᢦ') Opposite is a large sports center, and next door is the beach 🏖️ There will be music party activities in the evening. Although the sound will be quite loud, we live in a relatively inner location, so it is not so noisy. It will be quiet after 10 o'clock. We chose buffet for breakfast. Very worthy zoo to visit. Have many interactions and lots of animals to see. The only downside was some of the activities required additional charges. Overall worth to visit in Batam island. Also take note to be careful playing at the water park as my girl cut her feet under water.

Very nice decor and we enjoyed ourselves very much! All the food was delicious (we ordered the breakfast set, lamp chops, salmon, salted caramel latte and cakes) and we gave our compliments to the chef. Lava cake was not very flow-y, we gave feedback too. Execution of orders could be better given that tables which came later than us got their drinks first. Overall a really nice time. #batamguide We had a lovely time at this petting zoo! There were so many animals to see and feed. For 30K IDR, you get a bucket of mixed feed that works for most animals. Some special animals (like baby goats or raccoons) need a small top-up for milk or treats, but it was all very affordable. The place was generally clean and well-kept. The animals looked healthy and well cared for—we even saw a keeper giving a goat a full bath and blow-drying it! The staff were super friendly, and great with kids, offering photo opportunities and making the experience really fun and relaxed. The water play area was under maintenance during our visit, so we didn’t get to try that, but we still spent a good 3 hours enjoying everything else. It was quite hot when we went in the late morning, so if you're coming with little ones, it's best to go early in the morning or late afternoon. Overall, a great spot for families to enjoy some hands-on time with animals!

Nice villa, cleanliness is tip top. For a villa with a private pool and plants around the compound, it is amazing there are no mosquitoes and lizards compared to other resorts. The staff are super friendly, overall the stay is pleasant and enjoyable. Only con is they do not have their own driveway, but it is a short pathway from a public car park to their reception. Staff awaiting at the reception will help with luggages and umbrella when its raining.#travel
