A beautiful place for your celebration especially for the couples. The castle is so beautiful that you want to explore every corner of it. And the good point is that you can go upstairs and see the area from above. The garden around is just so colourful and makes the area even more attractive. Plus the ocean view is one of a kind there. Note, there is no cafe or restaurant there, only vending machines with drinks and some snacks. #celebrateit

The mountain is accessible by the Teleférico Benalmádena cable car, which takes visitors from Arroyo de la Miel to the summit.Additionally, there is vehicle access and hiking trails for those who prefer to hike.From the summit, you can enjoy spectacular panoramas of the Costa del Sol (Málaga, Torremolinos, Fuengirola), even Gibraltar and the African mountains on clear days. There is a network of approximately 2.8 km of hiking trails, along with several miradors, recreation areas, restaurants, and a bird-of-prey showground (Valle de las Águilas) exclusively for cable car visitors. One of the key locations on the slopes is Cueva del Toro, a prehistoric site from the Upper Paleolithic (around 15,000 years ago), with cave paintings and artifacts now on display in the local museum.

I visited a small rural village called Benalmádena in southern Spain. Here lies Colomares Castle, built to commemorate Columbus's discovery of the Americas. Columbus set sail with three ships to find the New World and eventually discovered the American continent, though he believed until his death that he had reached India. The castle, designed to resemble a ship and blending various architectural styles, is truly stunning. Although not very large, the castle offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, making it feel like discovering a hidden treasure in Spain. Torremolinos: Sun, Sand, and Smiles for Our Family of Four! Last month, our family of four — my wife, our two kids (aged 6 and 4), and I — packed our bags and headed to the sunny shores of Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol. We were all craving a proper dose of vitamin sea/D and some quality family time, and Torremolinos absolutely delivered! Beach Bliss for Everyone From the moment we arrived, the beach life captivated us. With miles of golden sand, Torremolinos boasts some truly fantastic beaches. We spent most of our days at Playa de la Carihuela, which was perfect for the kids. The water was calm and shallow, ideal for splashing around, and there were plenty of sunbeds and parasols for hire, making our days incredibly comfortable. Our 6-year-old became a master sandcastle builder, while our 4-year-old loved sleeping in the Spanish sun. We even rented a pedal boat one afternoon, which was a big hit! Glorious Sunshine, Every Single Day One thing you can almost guarantee in Torremolinos is excellent weather. We were there in late May, and the sun shone brightly every single day. The temperatures were warm but not stifling, usually hovering around a perfect 25°C, with a gentle breeze that made relaxing by the sea an absolute dream. It was just what we needed to shake off the last vestiges of the British chill! A Magical Encounter with Dolphins A highlight of our trip that we'll talk about for years to come was our dolphin watching excursion. We booked a boat trip from Benalmádena (just a short hop from Torremolinos), and within an hour of leaving the harbour, we spotted them! A pod of playful dolphins, leaping and swimming alongside our boat. The kids' faces lit up with pure wonder, and honestly, so did ours. It was a truly magical experience to see these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. Foodie Delights Around Every Corner And let's not forget the food! Oh, the food! Torremolinos is a paradise for seafood lovers. We indulged in so many delicious meals. Freshly grilled sardines ("espetos") were a daily staple for us, cooked on skewers over open fires right on the beach. We also discovered some fantastic chiringuitos (beachfront restaurants) serving up generous plates of paella, fried anchovies (boquerones fritos), and succulent prawns. Even our sometimes-fussy eaters found plenty to love, especially the patatas bravas and the surprisingly delicious local ice cream. In the evenings, we enjoyed strolls along the bustling promenade, trying out different restaurants and soaking in the lively atmosphere. Torremolinos truly exceeded our expectations as a family holiday destination. It offered the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and delicious food, all under the glorious Spanish sun. Colomares Castle (Castillo de Colomares) A beautiful monument in the town of Benalmadena, Malaga, Andalusia, Spain! Construction took place from 1987 to 1992. This castle was completed in 1992 to honor the discovery of the Americas by Christopher Columbus. The more you look, the more intricate the sculptures become, and although the site is not very large, it is very fun to look at the details. I recommend purchasing tickets online. Just walking in nearby area we accidentally happened to be in that beautiful and lovely area with white walls and flowers everywhere. The parrots were fliging from tree to tree and the mountains along the road were really magnificent. It turned out to be a real hidden gem. This is Benalmadena, one of Spain's leading resort areas! It can be reached by bus in about 50 minutes from Magara Airport in Spain. There are beaches along the coast where you can swim. There are also many restaurants where you can enjoy typical Spanish cuisine! The sun is strong here, so we recommend taking proper precautions against UV rays! 👒 Also, in Mijas, about an hour by bus from Benalmadena, you can enjoy the beautiful cityscape lined with white buildings, so we recommend visiting both places! #Spring0yentrip

Although it’s not an ancient building but built in modern times but it’s absolutely wonderful with super stunning view. Malaga is just so romantic place itself and if you want to celebrate your anniversary there, you need to go toe the cable car there. The views of the costal area are so spectacular and the mountains view are stunning as well so I cannot tell what view is actually better 😍 There is an audio guide inside the cable car. Once you reach the mountain top you will become species from the beauty you will see, it’s the highest point on the Malaga cost and the views are just awesome. #celebrateit

It is the smallest church in the Guinness Book of Records and the largest Columbus monument. It was built by a dentist named Martin who spent all his fortune using bricks, cement and stone. It took seven years to build with the cooperation of two craftsmen. Located in Malaga, Spain. It combines various architectural styles, including Gothic, Romanesque and Moorish, presenting a wonderful architectural mashup. The castle was designed as a huge monument in honor of Columbus. The overall design is based on Columbus' three ships, and the carving is very exquisite. The small garden in the castle and the blue sea not far away complement each other, and the town buildings, which are mainly white, extend from the mountains to the coast, making the main color and exquisiteness of the castle more prominent. The castle is not big, half an hour is enough to see it, but even if I have seen the same place several times, I still don’t want to leave~
