Cascais is an undeniable luxury beach that you must visit if you are staying in Lisbon, Portugal! It is located about 30km west of the capital city of Lisbon, so it is quite convenient to get to. It has a very familiar feel, similar to Haeundae in Busan and Repulse Bay in Hong Kong!

Joined a fishing tour in Portugal, 75€ per person (at least 2 persons) for 4 hours fishing, the crew will show you how to do it in case you have no experience just like me 😅 It was a good moment especially the weather was great ☀️ It’s my first time fishing, had a bit seasick but the crew was nice, provided me sparkling water and some snacks. Palácio Seixas is symbol of the city of #cascais, this manor was built in th site of the fortress of Foz on 1916 #portugal This manor has all the feel of a fairytale castle, set on the edge of the sea which you can walk around escorted by families of ducks, chickens and cockerels! although you can't go inside, outside is worthy of photographs especially from the sea-side where the sea flows in under the bridge at high tide creating a moat around the base of the castle. #inspiration #happynewyear

[Cascais] For me, Cascais is a strange town, but as a must-have for a few tens of minutes to go back to Lisbon, I found this It is an extremely comfortable coastal town, which reminds me of Nice in the south of France, It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the beach and the sea breeze from the Atlantic Ocean is less than 10 minutes. This city is extraordinarily young but it was built in 1364 but it is completely different from the old Lisbon, the population is only 180,000 people, and the area is only 97.4 square kilometers. Let’s go on a day trip. This time, to the beach town of Cascáis, located about an hour’s train ride from Lisbon. This charming seaside town feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city, even though it’s within the Lisbon metropolitan area. It’s part of what has been dubbed the Portuguese riviera but it hasn’t been saturated by tourism. Your first stop has to be finding and admiring the Santa Maria lighthouse. With its blue and white stripes, this lighthouse really makes for the picture postcard view. Set back in a little cove, it’s not unusual to find people swimming here in these serene surroundings. The town has many pretty buildings and a cool, laid back vibe. The perfect place to wander around and relax. With cascáis being located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, a walk along the coast line is a must whilst visiting this town. Watching the waves roll and sometimes crash in from the Atlantic is a spectacular sight. I felt like I could spend hours here pondering over the natural beauty that can be found in life. A word of caution if you get too close to the waves though - you could end up soaked! I enjoyed all of this whilst jetting away with just a backpack - no suitcases in sight! One essential that I always have to take with me is my camera - in this instance, a Sony Alpha 7 IV.
