Located near the Chicago River, this place is more of a paradise for foodies and a great photo spot than a museum. It cleverly combines the three functions into one, allowing visitors to learn about the long history of ice cream and appreciate the characteristics and charm of ice cream from different regions. Visitors need to enter in batches, and the visit time must be confirmed when purchasing tickets. The entrance is a bit hard to find, and the small door is easy to miss. However, the queue to enter is relatively fast, with about 15 people per group, and Dove chocolate ice cream bars are thoughtfully provided while waiting. Once inside, you can enjoy yourself until the museum closes at 9:30 pm. The museum is full of photo-worthy scenes, and there is a bar offering paid ice cream and cocktails. But the most attractive thing is the free ice cream in each room, including regular ice cream, smoothies, the ice cream lab that requires an extra ticket, the unique blue moon ice cream, and the Chicago-style hot dog ice cream, although the taste of the hot dog ice cream is a bit hard to accept. A spontaneous visit to Chicago during Thanksgiving ended up being a memorable experience. The architecture in Chicago is just one of the best in the world. The buildings and architecture of Chicago reflect the city's history and multicultural heritage, featuring prominent buildings in a variety of styles. Most structures downtown were destroyed by the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. Chicago's architectural styles include Chicago Bungalows, Two-Flats, and Graystones along Logan Boulevard and Lawndale Avenue. The Loop is home to skyscrapers as well as sacred architecture including "Polish Cathedrals". Chicago is home to one of the largest and most diverse collections of skyscrapers in the world. I love The place and The innovative approach and passionate museum staff who do a lot to make the museum as welcoming and open for everyone as possible. It’s a small art gallery located near the Uchicago library. It’s full of fancy modern art pieces. It does not take long to see all the exhibition, but I liked it very much. Creative installments made of tar paper, plastic straws, and cards are just amazingly cool. There are also free storage lockers so you can view the exhibits unencumbered. Columbia College's Museum of Contemporary Photography is small but worth visiting. It has three small floors with photography and sometimes film. Even thought museum is located inside the Columbia building it is not affiliated with the college directly and I was told it only presents Columbia student produced photos in rarest exceptions. Multiple pieces of art work that challenge your inner beliefs with a wide variety of styles from black and white stills, to vibrant pictures with colors popping off the wall, and multiple video pieces to round out the collection. It’s always a joy and relaxing to spend time on the Chicago River. Amazing weather, sceneries and architecture. A good place to walk along the river if you don't want to cross the bridge to get to the river walk. Good for running, walking or even to just relax. This has a very cool breeze place to sit and relax near a nice waterfall. The sound of the water fall is very relaxing and soothing. Water canon blasts over the river on the hour from late spring through early fall. I highly recommend the boat tour if you’re interested in learning about the history of the city and early architecture. This is a very cool aquarium. The building itself is very beautiful. A great variety of sealife, fish, reptiles, amphibians in nice settings. The keepers and staff are friendly and informative. 👍🏻 There are lots of interactive exhibits enjoyable for any age group. They have a very large assortment of aquatic life and we were very pleased to see that their enclosures were well suited and maintained. Exploring the entire place took about 3 hours to see everything. The gift shop was a large one with many options and the cafeteria had so many options. I sincerely think that starting to date me is the weirdest decision that can be made. Well, I definitely would not want to be with someone with whom the dialogue every day would be something like: - How are you? - Great, I'm going to work, and you? - Working too! Today I fed the lemurs, now I'm going to surf, and after it I’m flying with a helicopter to have dinner on the beach under the stars. … Well, it's hard to be with a person whom you can't surprise with anything. Restaurant? And not even underwater with sharks? Movie? And not even in a Maldivian villa? Alright though. Only a warm bed, food and the words: “you don’t have to take photos today” can conquer my heart ;) Either way, I wouldn't date myself. Sometimes it seems to me that nothing can surprise me. Chicago is one of my favorite US cities. It is a well planned city. I highly recommend strolling around the city and just be amazed by its urban architecture. Chicago has some of the most beautiful buildings in America. For me, I prefer staying around Magnificent Mile, which is a stone throw away Chicago River. I used the United Club in Chicago, which is available to Star Alliance Gold members and above✈️ It was quite spacious, had many power outlets, and many people were working there💻 Since I arrived early in the morning and was transiting, the food was a typical American breakfast with bagels, muffins, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, etc.🍽 You can drink alcohol, but since it was morning, I didn't drink, but if you like alcohol, I recommend using the bar in the lounge🍷🍸 There was no shower, but the toilet was very clean and safe to use😊 I definitely recommend using it if you are transiting in Chicago! #USAtrip #USTourism #Chicago #AirportLounge #UnitedClub
