While thinking about where to go for a healing trip with my mom, I discovered in Gunsan. Morak is a bathhouse created in a former brewery, located in Gunsan's Modern History Street. The building, a Japanese-style house from the colonial era, exudes a strong Japanese vibe. At Morak, you can enjoy a bath infused with fermented liquor made from Gunsan rice. After the bath, your skin feels cleaner and smoother. In addition to the bath, there are various activities to enjoy, such as a traditional tea ceremony featuring Gunsan's signature teas, massages, and even waterproof books to read while relaxing. Although it wasn't an open-air bath, the experience was enough to feel like a Japanese ryokan without leaving Korea! Having experienced a real ryokan in Japan, my mom and I found this to be quite similar and thoroughly enjoyed our bath. 🫧

There is a bus every hour from Gunsan. Is this Seonyudo? Seonyudo has beautiful scenery, worthy of being the hometown of scholars. There are islands called Gogunsando lined up, and now they are connected by bridges and roads, making it easy to get to from Gunsan. It is like an island embracing a beach in exotic Southeast Asia. It would be even more beautiful at sunset, but since it is a trip to Ajossi, the sunset is visible even during the day. First of all, the breakfast was 15,000 won, which was cheaper than the hotel breakfast buffet, so I didn't expect much, but I was surprised that there were more food menus and they were delicious than I thought! There are many places to visit in Gunsan, but I was captivated by the exotic atmosphere at first sight. It's a bit far from Gunsan City to go here for a photo, but it's not a bad course to drive along Saemangeum Seawall Road. And Cafe Old Brick, which I was really upset about when I heard the news that its roof collapsed due to heavy snow a while ago.
