Summer in Japan can truly be hot and humid but what can make it bearable is visiting sunflower fields. One of the best places to enjoy the view of hundreds, if not thousands, of sunflowers is Himawari Village ひまわり村 located in Tsubata City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Every year, dozens of volunteers come to plant sunflower seeds to create a flower maze for people to enjoy in the summer. Talk about a great community activity!

Every season brings something new too. cherry blossoms in spring, fiery leaves in fall, snow-covered scenes in winter. Even if you’re not huge on nature stuff, this place is hard not to love. "Higashi Chaya District" in Kanazawa is a very famous spot and is a classic spot in Kanazawa! You can eat while walking around and look for souvenirs! Desserts made with gold leaf are a food unique to Kanazawa, so I hope you will look for gold leaf and try it!
