All Trip Moments about Kallithea Halkidikis
Kallithea
Kallithea was amazing. Next to Afytos. Food was amazing and people are so lovely.
Ruins of Temple of Ammon Zeus
During my visit to the Temple of Ammon Zeus in Kallithea, Greece, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite reading some underwhelming reviews, I found the site to be quite intriguing. The ruins, dating back to the 4th century BC, offered a fascinating glimpse into ancient Greek worship practices. Not much is preserved, but you can use your imagination to visualise the temple in its old glory.
I highly recommend visiting early in the morning. The site is in an open area with little shade, so the cooler morning hours are ideal for exploring comfortably. After your visit, head to the nearby Kallithea beach. The water is crystal clear, perfect for a refreshing swim, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants along the shore where you can relax and enjoy a drink or delicious Greek cuisine.

During my summer vacation, I visited the Temple of Ammon Zeus in Kallithea, Halkidiki, Greece, and it was an unforgettable experience! 🏛️ This ancient site, nestled on the coast, offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea. The entrance fee was around €6, which is a bargain for history enthusiasts.
Walking through the ruins, you can feel the rich history and significance of the place. The temple dates back to the 4th century BC and was dedicated to Zeus Ammon, a fusion of Greek and Egyptian deities. After exploring the site, I enjoyed the beautiful Kallithea Beach nearby, perfect for a relaxing swim. Additionally, the lively town of Kallithea has great restaurants and shops to explore. The Temple of Ammon Zeus is a must-visit for anyone interested in history and stunning coastal scenery. #TempleOfAmmonZeus #Halkidiki #SummerInGreece #AncientHistory
Maya Bay Pier is beautiful from the pier.
#SongkranTrip
Maya Bay Pier is beautiful even before getting on the boat. Get on the pier. Come early in the morning, there aren't many boats yet, there's no traffic jam, and the light is very beautiful. Take a lot of photos. The park staff took good care of us, providing excellent service at the boat pick-up and drop-off points, and calling boats. Once you've got on the boat, you have to walk a bit further, about 500-700 meters, to reach Maya Bay in front of the beach. Before entering, you have to show your reservation from the queue app that you booked the date and time for, and pay the entrance fee.
Plenty of restrooms available
Location: Maya Bay Pier, coming towards Phi Phi, very close.
