In early March, I went to the cherry blossom festival in Miura City, Kanagawa Prefecture. If you want to take pictures of the train and cherry blossoms, it is recommended to go up the overpass, but be careful not to collide with other vehicles. Since Miura is rich in white radishes, you can also see radish pulling experience activities around the venue and a train selling white radishes, which is really interesting😆 When we arrived at the venue, we saw many people sitting under the cherry trees, drinking and eating barbecue and the food they prepared themselves. If you don't have any food with you, there are many tents nearby with food stalls for you to buy. Although the crowd was a bit mixed, it was such a happy feeling to be able to eat delicious food under the cherry trees! If you want to go swimming in Miura beach, get off at Miura Kaigan. If you want to go to Jougashima island, get off at the last station in Misakiguchi. From Misakiguchi station, you can take a bus or rent an electric bike to Jougashima island (about 6km). Before, I took the bus from Misakiguchi station to Misaki port, wandered around there, then went to the restaurant (くろば停本店), then walked across the bridge to the island.

Miura Island is one of the popular places to view Kawazu cherry blossoms in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Since it is close to Tokyo, many travelers to Tokyo will arrange a short trip to Miura Island to view the cherry blossoms during the Kawazu cherry blossom season; 🚞🌸 This time we departed from Yokohama to Miurakaigan, where transportation was very convenient. One bus went straight there without having to transfer, and the journey took about 50 minutes. The weather on that day was super good, with blue sky, white clouds and bright sunshine. Next to Miurakaigan Station, there were two Kawazu cherry trees that had been open for about 6 minutes to welcome the tourists. The local Japanese sat down leisurely under the cherry trees to rest and chat. Further ahead, there were two more luxuriant Kawazu cherry trees, and everyone gathered under the trees to take pictures. For those who like to take a slow walk to enjoy the cherry blossoms, we recommend that you exit Miurakaigan Station and walk towards Misakiguchi Station.
