My journey began on a serene morning, climbing the ancient stone steps beside Charles Bridge. The stone walls and dim streetlights on either side seemed to transport me into a medieval painting, while the distant sound of bells added a touch of mystery to the experience. Entering the castle, the majestic silhouette of St. Vitus Cathedral took my breath away. Its Gothic spires pierced the sky, and sunlight streaming through the stained glass windows cast a kaleidoscope of colors, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Inside the cathedral, the St. Wenceslas Chapel dazzled with its gem-encrusted decorations and murals, showcasing a harmonious blend of religion and art that left me spellbound. Next, I stepped into the Old Royal Palace, where the spacious Vladislav Hall, though simple in design, exuded the solemn dignity of past royal power, as if the echoes of history could still be heard. At the Red Tree Chair in Prague, we spent about half an hour slowly climbing to the highest point in order to see the most beautiful scenery. #JanuaryGoodPlaces2025 After leaving Hasstatt, Austria, we took a shuttle to the fairytale town of Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. On the recommendation of the B&B owner, we visited Pivovarská Restaurace, the restaurant where he used to work, to taste the most authentic Czech beer and pork dishes. It was really the best portrayal of eating meat and drinking with big mouthfuls of wine! Pivovarská Restaurace has a very large brewery, and the restaurant looks like a cellar, as if you are dining in a historic beer brewing factory.
