The majority of the garden is taken up by a pond, and you can enjoy seasonal scenery such as cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. In September 2002, the "Garden of the former villa of the Tsuyama Domain (Shurakuen)" was designated a national place of scenic beauty. The Forest Art Festival, Sunny Country Okayama, is also being held until November 24th, and artworks are also on display. Tsuyama Castle Tsuyama Castle was started by Mori Tadamasa in 1604 and completed in 1616. There is an admission fee, but you can enter the turret and see the heart-shaped stone. Jyoto Mukashi Machiya (Former Kajimura Residence) This townhouse is located at 40 Higashishinmachi, Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture, and the main building dates back to the end of the Edo period. The rooms on the west side were built in the Meiji period, while the two-story building on the north side, including the Western-style building, was built in the Taisho period. Imazuyabashi Street (Gongo Street) On the way from Tsuyama Station across the Yoshii River to Tsuyama Castle, there are several kappa statues on the Imazuyabashi Street (commonly known as Gongo Street) shopping street. An art gallery utilizing a building that was originally a bank. The former Senoo Bank Hayashida Branch is a designated important cultural property of Okayama Prefecture. When you visit, it's hard to believe this place was once a bank due to its stylishness and beauty. The main highlight is said to be the single-board counter. The architecture is a mix of Japanese and Western styles, with a wooden main building, a stone vault, and a courtyard with red brick tiles, among other attractions. They regularly hold special exhibitions, workshops, and art events, and the Forest Art Festival Hareru no Kuni Okayama is currently being held until November 24th.

Hotel Route Inn is located a 2-minute walk from Tsuyama Station in Okayama Prefecture. This hotel opened in 2020 and is relatively new and clean. This hotel also has a large public bath with natural hot springs. I stayed in a twin room, which was spacious with a sofa. There is a bathtub in the room, but the large public bath is still recommended. It seems that there is an open-air bath, sauna, and cold bath for men only. It's a bit disappointing that there is a huge difference between men and women, but I was satisfied with the clean hotel.
