Small Temple of Abu Simbel

The Small Temple of Abu Simbel was built by Ramses II, who was known as the king of kings among the successive Egyptian dynasties, for his beloved Queen Nefertari. At the front of the temple, there are two statues of Queen Nefertari and four statues of Ramses II, with Ramses II flanking the statue of Nefertari on either side. The Small Temple of Abu Simbel was built for Queen Nefertari, but it is also a temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor.
