A record of my stay at the hot spring inn "Fuga no Yado Choseikan," which is a regular on the popular accommodation rankings

I recently stayed at "Fuga no Yado Choseikan" during my trip to Niigata, and it was really good, so I'd like to introduce it to you. This popular inn has been selected for the "Top 100 Japanese Hotels and Inns Selected by Professionals" for 26 consecutive years (maybe even more(?)) and for the "Top 250 Popular Hot Spring Inns" for 23 consecutive years. I didn't know this when I stayed there, but I liked the inn so much that I found out later by searching the internet. When I stayed there this time, the staff were gentle and polite everywhere, from check-in to the inn and meals, and I felt very comfortable. They also rented out figures that could be used for taking photos in the inn, and when I said I liked taking photos, they introduced me to some recommended photo shoots and photos they had actually taken. [Hot Springs] The main reason I decided to stay at this inn was because the hot springs are rare radium springs, and they have the highest radon content in Japan, which is said to be good for boosting your immune system. I inhaled the hot spring steam in the indoor bath, drank the hot spring water, and enjoyed a long soak in the hot spring. The open-air bath in the large public bath is located in a large garden of 13,000 m2, and bathing while surrounded by greenery and looking at the starry sky was a very relaxing space. The source water is low at 27 degrees, so alternating between the source water and the heated water, which acts as a cold bath, felt very good. The source water is not as cold as the cold bath, so I think people who like saunas but don't like cold baths will enjoy it. There were also three private open-air baths. Guests can use them as many times as they like for free. There are only 27 guest rooms, so when I went, one of the three private open-air baths was always available. It's great for people who want to take a bath with their family or take pictures of the bath♪ I went to the large public bath three times, but I never felt it was too crowded. [Meals] We had both dinner and breakfast in the dining room. We don't usually drink much alcohol, but the original blend plum wine (which seems to have wine in it) served as an aperitif was delicious, and we heard that they also have sake made with Choseikan's original hot spring water, so we tried that too. (This was also delicious) The timing of the meals was perfect, and we enjoyed everything from the appetizer to the main course and dessert♪ [Rooms] We stayed in a standard 12-tatami Japanese-style room. It was spacious enough for two people, so we were able to spend a relaxing time. There are also other rooms with beds and detached rooms with open-air baths. It was also nice that all the rooms had a view of the large garden. [Large 13,000 m2 garden] The garden was also wonderful, and we were able to take a little stroll. You can see a pond with carp from the lobby. It was beautiful in the summer with the bamboo lanterns lit up♪ There is also a power spot, so be sure to check it out when you stay here. It was a very comfortable inn that I would like to go back to, so if you have the chance, please try staying there♪ #Accommodation #Fuganoyadochoseikan #Couple trip #Hot spring #Hot spring trip #Hot spring inn #Hot spring inn #Breakfast at hot spring inn #Private bath #Private open-air bath #Private hot spring #Inn #Niigata trip
