I love visiting Amami Oshima a few times a year! It's very convenient to take a Peach flight from Osaka. After all, it's nice to be in a tropical island. There are resort hotels here and there on the way from the airport to the city. You don't have to stay the night, so you can enjoy the resort atmosphere at the restaurants. If you have a car, it's nice to stop by. The specialty chicken rice you eat at an outdoor restaurant along the beach from lunch is the best. Seriously amazing. Amazing. Another great thing about Amami Oshima is the mangroves. Experience the mangroves in a leisurely canoe. Relaxing in the mangroves makes you feel like you've arrived in Amami, so I go every time. It's a wonderful time. Prices are much cheaper than Okinawa, so it's the best tropical island you can visit without having to worry. In terms of cost-effectiveness, it's probably in the top class even in the world. If I had to say, I guess it's the size of the island?
