Recommendation: For a smooth trip to Amsterdam, choosing this Mercure Hotel Amsterdam North Station felt great. We stayed for five consecutive nights and had a good experience because of the abundant breakfast, convenient transportation, comfortable rooms, enthusiastic service, and quiet surroundings. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: We stayed in a standard twin room of 23 square meters. It's rare to find such a large room in Europe at this price. The single beds are 0.8 meters wide, very comfortable to sleep in, and the bathroom is spacious with a strong water flow, making it very comfortable to shower. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: Quiet and clean. 🏕️ Surroundings: There is a small supermarket diagonally opposite the hotel where you can buy fruits, drinks, snacks, and daily necessities. The metro station is on the second floor, and there is a food court right outside. The sushi on the first floor is good, especially the salmon, fried shrimp, and avocado rolls. My friend and I ate there for two consecutive days. 💗 Other Tips: 1. Price: I stayed during the tulip season, and the standard twin room with breakfast was about 1800-2200 yuan per night. If it's not tulip season, it's about 1300 yuan per night with breakfast. 2. Breakfast: The restaurant has a large floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the hotel's atrium garden, where several pots of tulips are planted on the green lawn. The restaurant serves a purely Western breakfast, with smoked salmon, mackerel, and various cheeses. There is an abundance of fruits every day, and hot dishes include cheese tomatoes, grilled sausages, baked beans in tomato sauce, and roasted vegetables. 3. Transportation: The NOORD metro station is a 3-minute walk from the food court exit. It is only two stops away from the central station, making transportation very convenient. 4. Service: Every hotel staff member we encountered was polite and enthusiastic. There was even one staff member who spoke perfect Mandarin.
