[Korea, Chungcheongnam-do, Asan City] Chinese restaurant "Daefangha"

#AbsolutelyFreeTrip Today I went to the Chinese restaurant "Daefangha" near Sanjeongho Lake in Asan. It is located right next to Sanjeongho Lake, a popular tourist spot, and is a popular restaurant with many visitors. The chef here, Pyo Ji-hoon, is a talented chef who won two awards at the 2025 World Chinese Asian Cuisine Championships held in Hong Kong. In addition, this year he was also selected for the prestigious "Blue Ribbon" and "Red Ribbon" awards, so expectations are high! This time I ordered the "Yongbin Course (영빈코스 / Noble Course)". The first starter that came out was "Salad Cold Dish". The salmon, shrimp, and salad were perfectly matched with the sweet sauce, and I felt happy right from the appetizer. ・ The first main dish was "Stir-fried Snow Crab with Fuyong (부용대게살볶음)." The fluffy egg and snow crab meat were a perfect match, creating a refined flavor. ・ The second dish was "Chili Shrimp." Two medium-sized shrimps were entangled in a spicy chili sauce, and it was absolutely delicious! The plump texture was irresistible. The third dish was "Mongolian Beef." In a course that had been centered around seafood up until then, this was a delightful dish that switched the flavor to beef. The meat was very tender, and it fell apart in the mouth. ・ The fourth dish was "Fried Yushan Eggplant (어향가지 튀김)." Even though I'm not a big fan of eggplant, it was so well-made that I thought, "I want to eat this again and again!" The sweet and spicy sauce brought out the flavor of the eggplant. The final main dish was "Stir-fried pork with green peppers and rolled bread." It had a slight spiciness that nicely neutralized the oiliness of the Chinese food up to that point. For the final carbohydrate menu, you can choose from three types: Zhajiangmyeon, Chanpon, and fried rice, but I chose the fried rice. This fried rice even came with a set of "egg soup," and I was impressed by the perfect combination! For the final dessert, you can choose between cold plum tea or yogurt ice cream, but I went for the refreshingly sweet "yogurt ice cream." It was delicious until the very end, and I was able to enjoy a satisfying Chinese full course meal. If you're heading to Asan, be sure to stop by!
