The name totally makes sense, massive stone arches and towers carved by the sea that look like a giant gothic cathedral made by nature. It’s like walking through a fantasy movie set, but with waves and seagulls instead of special effects. The trick here is timing. You gotta go at low tide or you’ll miss the best parts. When the water’s out, you can wander through all the crazy rock formations, little caves, and sandy paths between the cliffs. It’s honestly jaw-dropping. It’s not exactly in Castropol, but nearby enough to make it an easy day trip if you're exploring the area. You’ll want to wear good shoes (it gets slippery), and definitely check tide times before heading out. No need to rush, just wander, take pics, and soak in the salty air. Playa de las Catedrales is pure coastal magic, and totally unforgettable.
