Healesville Sanctuary – VIC

#summervacay Healesville Sanctuary is tucked away in the Yarra Valley, and it focuses entirely on native Australian animals, which I loved. I saw wombats, echidnas, Tasmanian devils, and even a live bird of prey demonstration that was seriously impressive. The bushland setting makes it feel like a real wildlife encounter, not just a visit to a zoo. I also stopped by a nearby winery afterward—talk about the perfect summer combo. It’s peaceful, educational, and very “Aussie.”
