Wat Pracharangsan

Wat Pracharangsan is a temple of the Mahanikaya sect. It is located on the banks of Khlong Om Non, in Village No. 10, Ban Wat Pracharangsan, Tambon Bang Krang, Amphoe Mueang Nonthaburi, Nonthaburi Province. Wat Pracharangsan was originally called Wat Ya Sai because the area around the temple was originally a rice field. Later, the rice field was dug up and turned into a garden. It was built in 1861. The name and history of the builder are unknown. Over time, the temple deteriorated, so the villagers helped to renovate it and changed its name to "Wat Pracharangsan" on January 17, 1956. The temple received the royal charter for the last time on January 15, 1970, and held the Phutthasima ceremony in 1977. The buildings include the Ubosot, built in 1977 to replace the original, which had been damaged. The Sala Karn Parian was built in 1952. It is a wooden building. Most of the monks' quarters are single-storey wooden buildings.
