King Rama III bestowed the name Wat Prayurawongsawas. People generally call it Wat Lek because it has an iron fence in the shape of a spear, sword, and axe as the temple wall. 🙏 Renovated by Somdet Chao Phraya Borom Maha Sri Suriyawong, Chao Phraya Surawong Waiwat, Chao Phraya Phasakonwong, and Chao Phraya Surawong Watthanasak. Important things in the temple include: 🏰 Ubosot, Thai architecture, enshrining the principal Buddha image, Phra Phuttha Thammawichetsasada, in the Mara-Vijaya posture. 🏰 The Vihara is similar to the Ubosot, enshrining the principal Buddha image. Phra Phutthanakhon Noi (Luang Pho Nak) is a cast Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture. 🛕 Phra Borommathat Maha Chedi is a large round white chedi built using the Ayutthaya technique. A central pillar was built to serve as the foundation for the construction of the large chedi. Therefore, it is considered an important ancient site because it is the only remaining chedi with a central core. It is still open for visitors. Inside, the relics of the Lord Buddha and the ashes of the Bunnag family are enshrined. 🛕 Phra Chedi of Khrua Kaew was built by Phraya Phanuwong Maha Kosathibodi.
