Thailand is truly a magical place!

As soon as I landed in Bangkok, I was enveloped in a wave of heat, but the vibrant atmosphere here instantly healed me! For my sisters coming to Thailand for the first time, here's a guide to help you avoid pitfalls and save money~ [Eat] – A Taste of Thailand 1 Must-try Night Markets: JODD FAIRS (formerly known as Train Night Market) volcanic pork ribs, spicy and sour seafood, remember to bargain! The fruit vendor is super popular, but the mango sticky rice from the stall next door is just as amazing~ 2 7-Eleven Treasures: Thai milk tea (add your own ice for extra refreshment), heated cheese sandwiches, and sunscreen samples are also available, so you don't have to bring too much! 3 Hidden Gems: Hainanese chicken rice at the Pratunam Market, the locals line up for it, the sauce is the soul! [Play] – Non-stop Fun Grand Palace + Temple of the Emerald Buddha: Get up early! Arrive before 9am to avoid the crowds, wear long pants/long skirt (don't buy the super ugly floral pants sold at the entrance) iconsiam: A shopping mall with super strong air conditioning, G floor has a one-stop shop for snacks at the floating market, coconut ice cream is a must-try~ Chao Phraya River Sunset Cruise: Book in advance for only 100+, the night view is stunning, remember to bring a small jacket (it's windy on the boat) [What to Wear?] It's meltingly hot in April–May! Bring: - Quick-drying sunscreen clothing (the air conditioning indoors is like a refrigerator) - Breathable cotton and linen skirt/shorts - Flip-flops (you have to take off your shoes to enter temples) - Sunglasses + sun hat (the sun is too bright to open your eyes) [Packing List] Power bank (there are few shared power banks in Thailand) Folding umbrella (super practical for sudden rainstorms) Stomach medicine (Tom Yum is good, but don't overdo it) Sunscreen (SPF50+ is cheaper to buy locally) [Tips] - Use Grab for taxis, it's more reliable than hailing a cab, bargain the tuk-tuk price in half! - Tipping is not mandatory, just leave THB 20 for hotel cleaning~ - Remember to check if the roadside stalls are clean, avoid raw and marinated food if you have a weak stomach Bangkok is truly a city that gets more exciting at night, roadside massages are 60 RMB an hour, I get addicted to it every day!
