The atmosphere was quiet and not chaotic. This road is in the Talad Noi - Yaowarat area, full of old buildings from many eras, from warehouses, ancient Chinese wooden houses to Sino-Portuguese style shophouses that still retain their original charm. It is an area that has both a mysterious and raw feel, like stopping time in the 60s. It was so much fun taking photos. Just the electric poles, iron doors, old rust, or the tile patterns in front of each house all have a story to tell. You don't have to pose too much. Just stand still and you will get a film-like photo. 📍 Location: Song Wat Road, Chakkrawat Subdistrict, Samphanthawong District, Bangkok (near Wat Pathum Khongkha - along the Chao Phraya River) 🚶♂️ How to get there: Very easy to get there, take the MRT and get off at Wat Mangkon Station. Then walk for about 10-15 minutes or take the Chao Phraya Express Boat and then take a motorcycle taxi/walk in. 🕒 Recommended time: Morning to late morning or evening before sunset, beautiful light, not too strong sun, not many people. 💡 Things to know: It is a real community area. You should walk and take pictures with respect, do not disturb the residents. For us, Thanon Song Wat is not just a place to take beautiful pictures, but it is an area where you can see the transition of the old city and modernity together in harmony.
