Top-notch Gaudí masterpieces of natural forms

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Barcelona (Region) Casa Milà is an apartment building also known as "La Pedrera" (The Quarry), and is Antoni Gaudí's most iconic secular building, both for its innovative structure, functionality and aesthetics. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the architect's last residential building. La Pedrera includes Barcelona’s only Gaudí visitor centre and is an important place to learn about the architect’s work and inspirations. You can visit five floors totaling 4,500 square meters, with several types of tours available depending on the time of day. It was built between 1906 and 1912. The exterior is made of load-bearing stone walls, and the interior has painted courtyards, columns and various rooms. The wavy exterior is punctuated by large windows with wrought iron balconies.
