Heart in the Lotus - Summer Palace West Causeway

The West Causeway of the Summer Palace has entered its "Lotus Harmony Time" in 2025. Currently (mid to late July) is the peak blooming period, which generally lasts until the end of August. • The waters west of West Causeway feature the most luxuriant lotus fields in the Summer Palace, with approximately 100 acres (nearly 250,000 m²) of Baiyangdian red lotus forming a vast expanse, where lotus leaves nearly cover the entire lake surface. Land Route Walk: Enter through East Palace Gate → Long Corridor → View panoramic scenery from Foxiang Pavilion → Walk southward along West Causeway's Six Bridges (including Jiehu Bridge, Jade Belt Bridge, etc.) → Exit via South Ruyi Gate.
