Suginoi Hotel Beppu: A Heavenly Family Getaway! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦♨️

#summervacay Staying at the Suginoi Hotel in Beppu with kids truly lives up to its reputation as a "heavenly" experience! Many Japanese families also flock here on weekends, so if possible, try to book your stay on weekdays to avoid queues for various activities. Convenient Location & Unique Footwear Policy The hotel is incredibly convenient to reach. It's very close to Beppu Station – just look up when you exit, and you'll spot it! If you're arriving by bus from Fukuoka, it's about a seven or eight-minute walk from the bus stop. Upon entering the hotel, you'll need to store your shoes. Throughout the entire hotel, guests walk barefoot! If you're not used to going barefoot, don't worry, socks are provided in the rooms, even for children. My kids loved it, as I finally couldn't scold them for running around barefoot! Onsen Bliss: Public Baths & Private Retreats The hotel offers both separate large public baths for men and women, as well as highly popular private onsen rooms. There are seven private bath cabins. You can check their availability on the TV in your room or directly outside the private baths. My advice? Don't rely solely on the in-room TV, as someone might have already entered by the time you get there. Just wait outside the private bath area; the wait is usually quick since most people don't stay in the hot springs for more than an hour! On the same floor as the private baths, there's a relaxation area (Image 2) with beautiful ocean views, perfect for watching the sunset. You'll also find complimentary small ice lollies and Yakult drinks – a lovely touch! Late-Night Ramen & Local Convenience From 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the hotel offers complimentary dango ramen. On weekends, the queue can be long, but it moves quickly, and the ramen tastes quite good! Stepping out of the hotel, you'll find a Lawson convenience store right there, and access to major attractions in Beppu is also very convenient.
