Idyllic Iceland - How to live the snow, sights and dreams!

I recently took a fantastic trip to the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik. I'd been so keen to visit at some point for a weekend but just hadn't got round to it. So I plucked up the courage (and the money!) to book and this is why you should too: Why You Should Visit Iceland 🖼️ Epic landscapes – From craters to waterfalls, it’s just magic! ⛲ The spas – The Sky Lagoon ritual is a must for relaxation 🐴 Unique wildlife – Icelandic horses are beautiful 🍨 Tasty food offerings – even the ice cream is worth the hype ⛪ Cultural gems – Tiny wooden churches to towering modern architecture 💆♂️ I arrived late on the first night in Reykjavik but just in time to unwind at the Sky Lagoon under the stars – that 7-step ritual is pure bliss! The next day was all about adventure: 💧 Started the day at the vibrant Kerid Crater, perfect for some dramatic snaps (Picture 2) 🐴 Then met the fluffiest Icelandic horses that were remarkably social and ready for some fuss - pay the staff at the wooden hut for some horse friendly sweets! (Picture 3). 🏔️ Onto the breathtaking Gullfoss Falls. My favourite moment from the weekend - just stunning. Wrap up warm - it's chilly! (Picture 1). 🌋 Next up was Geysir Centre – watched Strokkur erupt, really cool! Be quick and hot on the camera and you can get some great snaps! (Picture 4). 🍨 Quick stop for some heavenly local ice cream and to admire the adorable calves nearby (Picture 5) - even the Labrador dog was welcoming! (Picture 6). ⛪ Ended the day at Þingvellir National Park, where I saw the tiny wooden church nestled between tectonic plates (Picture 7). Final day slowed things down with a city stroll. ⛪Climbed the iconic church tower (yes, that one – Hallgrímskirkja!) just as the bells rang – so surreal (Picture 8). 🌊Walked by the lovely lake next to the Lutheran church (Tjörnin Lake is a really nice vibe) (Picture 9). 🍽️ Grabbed a bite to eat, then hopped on the Flybus back to the airport. Short but unforgettable. Iceland, you’ve got my heart! #postandearn
