The river is sometimes turbulent and sometimes calm. With the wooden plank road crossing the river and going back and forth between the two banks, it feels like stepping into a primeval forest. The green water of the river is so clear that it rivals the Plitvice Lakes, and even the rotten wood at the bottom of the river can be clearly seen. If you are tired of the crowds at Lake Bled, the Vintgar Gorge is a great option to get out of the city and into the embrace of nature.
