Named after the renowned Belgian architect Joseph Poelaert, it is situated on a hill in the district of Marolles, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Place Poelaert is best known for being the site of the Palais de Justice (Palace of Justice), one of the most iconic landmarks in Brussels. However, when I’m there, it’s partially covered up for some external renovation. The square itself is expansive & offers a grandeur befitting its surroundings. It serves as an impressive entrance to the Palais de Justice, which stands at its center. The Palais de Justice is an architectural marvel, characterized by its imposing size, intricate details & a massive dome that dominates the skyline. In the square, you can also find the Monument à la Gloire de l'Infanterie Belge. A notable monument located in Brussels, Belgium.
