Hungary, the "long-lost brother" of China

Hungary's beauty lies in its natural landscapes and cultural landmarks, with the winding Danube River flowing through the city. The Danube River is steeped in captivating legends. One story suggests that the name "Danube" originates from a sorrowful myth. Long ago, there was a hero named Danube Ivan, who was arrogant and domineering. He married a beautiful female hero named Natasha. On their wedding night, during the banquet, Danube Ivan boasted about his unparalleled martial skills. Natasha laughed at his arrogance, prompting Ivan to challenge her to an archery contest. However, he lost the match due to her superior skills. Enraged and humiliated, Ivan shot and killed his wife with an arrow. Later, consumed by shame and regret, he took his own life. Ivan's blood flowed out, accumulating into a mighty river, which became today's Danube River. Another legend revolves around the source of the Danube River. During the reign of Roman Emperor Tiberius, he ordered the search for the river's origin. An official discovered a small spring near Donaueschingen, drank from it, and declared that its water had a "majestic spirit" befitting the Danube River. Thus, it was designated as the river's source. In Budapest, the Fisherman's Bastion is also tied to a Danube-related legend. It is said that one night in the Middle Ages, seven knights rode to the banks of the Danube, intending to confess their love to their beloved maidens. However, war suddenly broke out, and they were summoned to fight, leaving behind seven unsent letters. The maidens folded the letters into pointed tower shapes, and centuries later, these towers emerged from the ground, forming the silhouette of today's Fisherman's Bastion.
