🛁 Széchenyi Baths, early morning steam rising into cold air, yellow walls glowing under pale sun ⛅️ Locals playing chess in the thermal pools, unbothered by everything. The silence in the steam said more than most museums. 🌉 Walked across the Chain Bridge when the sky was turning a little grey. The lions at each end looked tired in a noble way. On the Buda side, the hills ⛰️ climbed slowly behind us. Pest behind, quieter ahead. 🏰 Fisherman’s Bastion, white stone, fairytale arches, and a view that makes you pause without realizing it. The kind of place that’s clearly made for tourists but still manages to feel sacred. 🚇 Ruin bars in the Jewish Quarter. Szimpla Kert especially. Broken furniture, plants growing out of bathtubs, and walls scribbled with hundreds of stories. Ordered a drink 🥃 and sat quietly in the noise. It wasn’t the chaos that struck me, it was the comfort of it. 🕯️ St. Stephen’s Basilica, cool air and the hush of light ✨ cutting through stained glass. Noticed how everyone spoke a little softer in there. 🌉 Night at the Citadella, looking down over the Danube, bridges lit up like a string of gold, boats 🛥️ drifting slow.
