The most eye-catching thing in Sassicaia Winery is the plaque with "西施佳雅" written in Chinese, which was a gift from a wine merchant from mainland China. What a romantic name. The neat and modern design style is one of the main features of Sassicaia. Different grape varieties are stored in French oak barrels, waiting to be mixed before being bottled. It looks simple but has complex procedures and care. It is well-deserved to be the number one winery in Italy! 2005 Sassicaia is a well-known Italian wine with a strong aroma and rich taste. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes and aged in oak barrels for 24 months. In addition to visiting the winery, we also had lunch and wine at the San Guido Winery Restaurant. Echoing the feeling in the first paragraph, the tasting menu meals in the winery restaurant are basically well-balanced, and they are paired perfectly with three first and second wines including Sassicaia. The wine pilgrimage for wine lovers is really worthwhile and wonderful! Sassicaia has a very complex flavor with notes of black fruit, tobacco and spice with soft tannins and good balance, making it an expensive choice but definitely worth it for its quality and taste.
