Castelmola - Day Trip for under £100/$100

#100usdchallenge 📍 Location: Castelmola, Italy While I was on a holiday at Taormina the locals recommended me to visit the small village Castelmola. It is only roughly an hour bus drive away from the bus station of Taormina and the ticket was only €2 which is only $2.34 one way. Meaning for only $5 you have your return tickets sorted! What my friend and I did was walk down the lovely, colourful streets (more like orangey streets but nonetheless still very pretty!), visited a local bakery 🥯 🧁. We enjoyed the views you could see from the top. the Village is located very high on a hill and while looking down we could see Taormina. Of course we took endless photos and videos. Then we visited the old castle 🏯 🏰 which is few steps 🪜 above Castelmola (only half an hour easy hike). The entrance was free! - so far no money spent !!! well apart from spending $10 for a tiramisu because iIlove tiramisu. There was a farmer who stopped with his truck full of vegetables and fruits who got crowded and iIwent to queue there for strawberries! spent $2.93 for a packet/small bag of strawberries which were soooo sweet . total amount of money spent $17.93 ! just under $20 insanely amazing day!
