The sub-exhibition venue of "Ancient and Great Passes, Connecting China - Special Exhibition of Heaven, Earth, Man and Chinese Spirit on the Great Shu Road" (the main exhibition venue is in the Sichuan Museum) will be held in the Wuhou Temple Art Museum (Jianyu Hall) in the west area of ​​the Wuhou Temple Museum from July 28 to November 3, 2024. The Shu Road refers specifically to several major land routes in the southwest region connecting Guanzhong, Shaanxi and Gansu. The famous ones include the Baoxiade Road, Ziwu Road, Tangluo Road, Chencang Road, Jinniu Road, and Micang Road. It embodies the wisdom and perseverance of the ancients, and records the epic of the Chinese nation's transformation of nature and communication for more than 3,000 years. During the Three Kingdoms period, countless well-known heroes such as Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, and Deng Ai left brilliant achievements on the Shu Road. The Shu Road witnessed their indomitable spirit and tenacious fighting spirit, and witnessed the entire process of the Shu Han Dynasty from prosperity to decline. The Shu Road has long become one of the most exciting and legendary carriers of the growth and development of the Chinese nation. This exhibition is a sub-exhibition of the "Ancient and Great Passes, the Belt and Road of China - Special Exhibition on Heaven, Earth, Man and Chinese Spirit on the Great Shu Road" held by Sichuan Museum. Based on the results of many years of investigation on the Three Kingdoms culture, the Chengdu Wuhou Temple Museum has deeply explored the value of cultural heritage, explored the practice of revitalizing and utilizing cultural relics, and selected more than 40 locations on the Shu Road to open a journey of the Three Kingdoms culture with profound heritage and long-lasting meaning for the audience. Right and wrong, success and failure are all in vain, what is eternal are the silent mountains, rivers, plants, passes and temples. Years pass, but the spirit lives on.
