Collapse | Ceiling in the floor? | The Temple House Chengdu

Temple House is located in the Taikoo Li business district of Chengdu. It opened in 2015 and has approximately 100 rooms. Designed by renowned designer David Hardy, this hotel combines traditional and modern elements to create a unique ambience. Temple House is part of the famous House Collection, which also owns other branches in China, such as The Opposite House in Beijing and The Middle House in Shanghai. The hotel's location is perfect, located in the bustling Taikoo Li. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite when we checked in. The room feels very homely and the decoration style is very comfortable to live in. I especially like the high-end atmosphere of the bathroom, which makes people feel relaxed. In terms of service, apart from the reception at check-in, there was not much presence at other times. Overall, The Temple House is the ceiling in Chengdu in terms of experience and price. However, if this level of service is placed in other cities, such as Shanghai, it may be less competitive (based only on this stay experience). In addition, except for the suites, other room types feel too "open". I personally prefer small and square bedrooms and don't like this design very much.
