We arrived at Jinlongshan National Forest Park while the morning was still cool, the air thick with the scent of pine and damp earth. The forest stood tall and quiet, dappled light filtering through layers of green like a slow-moving canopy of glass. Higher up, wooden pavilions peeked from the trees, offering places to sit, sip tea, and watch clouds drift lazily over the peaks. The air felt thinner but lighter too, like you were breathing a little deeper without noticing. In summer, Jinlongshan doesn’t shout its beauty; it lets it settle around you, quiet and insistent.
