Jinganbei Ancient Village

#VisitChongqing – The charm of history amidst mountains and rivers in Beibei, Chongqing Jingangbei Ancient Village is located at the foot of Jinyun Mountain along the Jialing River in Beibei District, Chongqing. Surrounded by lush green mountains, towering trees and clear streams, it got its name from a 6-meter-high and 2-meter-wide natural rock in Jinyun Mountain, which is believed to have been carved by the Tang Dynasty people into the word “金刚” (Jingang). There is also a long rock stretching into the river called “金刚碚”, which is the origin of the name of the village “金刚碑”, which has a history of more than 300 years since the time of Emperor Kangxi. This village was also a refuge during the War of Resistance Against Japan, with more than 3,000 central government ministries and important figures from the fields of science, culture, education and economy living here, making Jingangbei a place that combines both natural beauty and history in depth.
