Cordoba: A World Heritage City with Roman and Moorish Influences

Cordoba, a significant city in the Andalusia region of southern Spain, is rich in historical value and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cordoba was once part of the Roman Empire since 206 BC, serving as the capital of Hispania Ulterior Baetica during the reign of Emperor Julius Caesar. Although later conquered by Muslims for an extended period, the city's architecture transformed into the Moorish style commonly seen across Spain. However, remnants of Roman architecture can still be found. Transportation: The city offers bus services for local travel and is connected by trains from major cities.
