You can't visit Dali without experiencing tie-dye!

If Dali were a color, it would be the blue of tie-dye. When I visited the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple in Dali, the ticket included a tie-dye experience at the Three Pagodas Intangible Cultural Heritage Park, so I went there after visiting the pagodas. The staff were very patient and guided me step by step through the process of making a tie-dye scarf! [Tie-Dye Steps] 1. Choose your favorite pattern from the many available. 2. Tie knots at key points, and then tie up the cotton cloth as instructed. 3. Put the tied cotton cloth into the dye vat for 1 minute. 4. Rinse it. 5. Unfold the cotton cloth. It will be slightly green at first, but it will quickly turn blue after being exposed to the air!
