Walking to Rainbeng: Only True Hiking Enthusiasts Dare to Enter! Due to road construction, the usual vehicle access to Rainbeng is currently unavailable, requiring visitors to hike in. This adds a bit of a challenge to the Rainbeng trek, but it also has its advantages. There are fewer crowds posing for photos, and a greater respect for the hike itself. Those who choose to walk in are truly passionate about hiking, making their way to their destination with a sense of pilgrimage. It's worth mentioning that hikers often greet each other and offer words of encouragement along the way. However, the greetings exchanged upon entering and exiting Rainbeng carry different sentiments. On the way in, hearing "Jiayou!" (meaning "add oil," a common Chinese expression of encouragement) from hikers already on their way down feels genuinely supportive and empowering. But when leaving Rainbeng after completing the trek, saying "Jiayou!" to those about to embark on their own journey evokes a sense of pride and accomplishment. Ninong Canyon is stunning.
