Moganshan's Yujie Street has been getting better with renovations lately, with many stylish coffee and tea shops opening up. This tea house, nestled under a century-old phoenix tree, preserves the traditional mortise-and-tenon beam structure crafted by Qing Dynasty artisans. The ancient tree at the entrance is seamlessly integrated into the architecture, offering a natural canopy that provides cool shade even under the fiercest sunlight—a century-old, weather-beaten natural umbrella ☂️ Behind the counter, rows of jars contain fermenting kombucha. While some might find its taste challenging, I quite enjoy it—especially for its digestive benefits, haha! The coffee here is decent, but I also tried Huzhou's signature roasted bean tea 🍵—my first time tasting a savory tea! The flavor was intriguing; my friend joked it was like sipping egg drop soup, lol 🤭. Yet, it left a lingering tea aroma—definitely worth a try if you've never had it! The second floor offers plenty of seating and features a collection of architect-designed furniture. However, as the shop just opened, the electricity application is still pending, so there's no air conditioning yet!
