#FuriTabi I went to Eiheiji Temple in Fukui Prefecture☺️ Eiheiji Temple was built by Zen Master Dogen and is a place where monks (unsui) practice their asceticism. It is registered as a World Heritage Site. Even now, more than 770 years after its founding, strict training is still carried out, You can take photos of the temple grounds, but be careful not to take photos of the monks🙂 The highlights of Eiheiji are *Sasyo-kaku, which has a ceiling painting by a top Japanese painter from the Showa era *The monks' hall where all of their ascetic life is spent *The mountain gate where the days of training begin *The Buddha hall *The lecture hall and more. It is a temple with a very historical feel, and the snow scenery was beautiful. There are many stairs in the temple grounds, so it takes about an hour to climb.
