Golden Summit on the Clouds, Mount Emei

The Ten-Directions Samantabhadra on the four sides of the Golden Summit of Mount Emei is a bronze and gold-carved Buddha statue, 48 meters high, representing the 48 wishes of Amitabha Buddha. "Pu" means equality without hindrance, and "Xian" means omnipresent. "Shifang" refers to Samantabhadra's ten great vows and the ten directions in Buddhism, implying that Samantabhadra's boundless vows can satisfy all the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times and all sentient beings. The ten heads of Samantabhadra are divided into three layers, with different expressions, representing the ten mentalities of the world. The front side of the statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva holds a wish-fulfilling jewel in his hand and rides on a six-tusked holy elephant. On the other side, he makes the Anuttara mudra, representing the four wisdoms of Bodhi manifested in the six realms of sentient beings. Under the blue sky and auspicious clouds of the Golden Summit of Mount Emei, the golden light of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is shining brightly. At every angle, the vivid faces exude wisdom and compassion. Samantabhadra is the eldest son of Buddha. Emei is the leader of mountains. Starting from the foot of the mountain, you can take the scenic sightseeing bus from the high-speed rail/Baoguo Temple/Huangwan Station to Leidongping Parking Lot, walk 1.5 kilometers to the Jieying Hall after getting off, and then take the cable car to the Golden Summit. Self-driving vehicles can only drive to the zero-kilometer parking lot and still need to transfer to the scenic area sightseeing bus.
