Is more commercial than expected, yet more charming than anticipated✨ Labeled as a "Russian Ethnic Township," the streets are filled with the sound of Northeast Chinese dialect—90% Northeast merchants mixed with 10% mixed-blood descendants speaking in a Northeast accent. Does it sound a bit out of place? But trust me, this place is worth visiting! ✨A few genuine impressions: • There’s a healing quality hidden in the Northeast accent; if you explore seriously, you’ll fall in love with this mixed, lively atmosphere • Commercialization actually brings convenience: restaurants and experience projects are well-established, no need to fuss around • Prices aren’t very friendly; the sour cream can be several times more expensive than in Hailar • Fewer tourists this year, making the experience more comfortable 🏡 Staying in a wooden house is a must We chose the family room at "Dalieba Flower Manor," which includes breakfast and dinner, and the room has a washing machine. The scent of wood mixed with the security of blackout curtains made it the deepest sleep I had in Inner Mongolia. (Many homestays show "rooms available today" this year, but prices haven’t dropped) 🎨 Things to try 1. Paint a Matryoshka doll for 50 RMB/person, make Dalieba bread for 30 RMB/person, just pick any shop you like, prices are similar 2. Ride a horse carriage driven by Russian descendants around the town; don’t be discouraged by the rustic style, keep looking and you’ll find some with good looks 🖼️ Corners worth seeing • Huang Laotou Museum, 5 RMB entrance fee lets you see the quirky "toilet flower arrangement" idea • The "Wandering Little Wooden House" of blogger Shisan Aquan is right in town 🌄 Sunset and sunrise Besides the back mountain of Enhe, there’s a place called Beishan (exact name unclear, our driver took us there) with a few more people; a friend got up at 3:30 AM to watch the sunrise and enjoyed the entire quiet dawn alone! ☕ Coffee shop list 1. Riverside Wooden House: run by a mixed-blood grandmother, with exquisite intangible cultural heritage crochet. The latte is made with local fresh milk and deep-roasted beans. The grandmother’s home is also a homestay, with warmth hidden in the details. 2. One Gacha: a popular check-in spot, a bit pricey 3. Little House Coffee: didn’t get to go, please share if you have! ⚠️ Practical tips ▫️ It’s better to buy specialties in Hailar, the price difference is obvious (Enhe sour cream 35 RMB, Hailar morning market 15 RMB with a buy 5 get 1 free deal) ▫️ Zoya Russian Restaurant has good reviews; we didn’t try it because our homestay included meals (saving money in disguise~) ▫️ Be sure to photograph those old original wooden houses; the weathered wood grain is full of stories
