Davis Mountains State Park

#summervacay The Davis Mountains were an unexpected summer surprise. After miles of flat land, the mountains rise up like a green island in the desert. I stayed at Indian Lodge inside the park—white adobe-style rooms with views of the hills. During the day, I hiked the Skyline Drive Trail, which offered breathtaking panoramas. At night, the sky came alive with stars, especially from nearby McDonald Observatory. It’s peaceful, scenic, and cool enough to enjoy even in July. #summervacay
